This portal provides guidance and resources for everyone working to tackle knife crime across the UK—whether in policing, education, border enforcement, prosecution, local government, health, or the voluntary sector. Content is organised around the 4Ps framework (Prevent, Protect, Prepare, Pursue), with topics providing more specialist focus areas within each pillar—such as Investigation and Enforcement under Pursue, or Safeguarding under Protect. Cross-cutting topics like Legislation and Evidence base span all four pillars. The hub is designed for a national audience. You won't find force-specific procedures or agency-particular instructions here; instead, content focuses on what practitioners across the country need to know, presented in a way that can be adapted to local contexts. Most content is publicly accessible, with some protected materials available to registered users. The aim is to create a shared space where practitioners can stay up to date with developments, access authoritative guidance, and learn from best practice across the sector. This hub is a product of the National Knife Crime Working Group, which brings together representatives from policing, border enforcement, prosecution, education, health, local government, the voluntary sector, and beyond. Contributions are welcome—if you have content to share or suggestions for improvement, please link in with your organisation's representative on the working group.
